USO Anything I can do?

[link to this post]

I just had the result of a USO request back from O/R
The initial indicative price for FTTP is "in excess of £100K." They state there are no other properties that can benefit so nowhere to spread the load.
Can anyone more experienced in these matters offer any advice (other than move!)
Cheers

Don't know what stands between you and the agg node. I guess if you have sympathetic landowners and can hire a Ditch Witch, you can get the cost way down.

Alternatively satellite broadband?

Fixed wireless, no local operators?
Exhausted 4G - including external antenna on roof?

What other properties are nearby and how near?

Where in the UK are you ? If you give a location either postcode or nearest village if postcode would identify you people would have more idea of possible solutions or just sympathy if there are none!

You could look forward to the copper network being discontinued!
