Purely out of interest. LLU FTTC?

[link to this post]

I know there might be backhaul for LLU providers at the exchanges but when it comes down to the actual street cabinets, have any of the large providers deployed their own (outside of the not spots) or are they all BT Wholesale/Openreach?

Virgin (ADSL) => Namesco => Newnet => O2 => Plusnet => Zen => Newnet => Zen => Freeola => Vivaciti (using O2 Wholesale DSL) => Xilo (C&W Wholesale) => Xilo (O2 Wholesale) => Xilo (TT Wholesale due to O2 Wholesale closure) => Zen LLU =>> ZeN FTTP (100 Mbps down, 18 Mbps up)
Router: Fritzbox 7530

LLU providers take a data feed at the handover exchange

One operator has its own sub LLU cabinets, but as they exist Openreach does not install its own VDSL2 to avoid spectrum clashes

Glide (formerly WarwickNet) have quite a large number of SLU (sub loop unbundled) FTTC VDSL2 DSLAM's connected to OpenReach PCP's.

As Andrew points out where they have SLU on a street cabinet OpenReach won't compete and install their own DSLAM.

Glide run Vectoring on a different Vendor DSLAM and offer up to 100Mb down and 40Mb up instead of the OpenReach 80Mb down and 20Mb up.
If OpenReach installed their own DSLAM their lines wouldn't be part of the Vectoring group and would impact Glides customers connections with crosstalk.

There are other individual cabinets that have been SLU by individual local businesses or perhaps residents as part of a community scheme but I'm not aware of anyone other than Glide that has done a large number of cabinets.
