Astley Bridge Exchnage FTTP status

[link to this post]

Hiya,

Where does the FTTP status on an exchange come from on the think broadband checker. It shows as not Openreach FTTP enabled but checks on addresses served by this exchange on the btwholesale checker shows that FTTP (non-demand) is available?

https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/exchanges/l...

example address would be house numbers 647-659 BL1 8TL all show FTTP 1000 available

Just confused as to why the exchange says no but the address checker says yes?

thanks

Andy

Your address is not necessarily served by the same exchange for FTTP as for normal phone services. The exchange that serves your FTTP may be a larger aggregate exchange that services a much larger area than your local telephone exchange does.

In this case postcode was not flagged in our database, but will be by morning and will run an exchange status update overnight too.
