FTTP Openreach says Yes everyone else says no/planned

[link to this post]

Hi All

I have been following the FTTP on my estate like a hawk with prey. The engineers must have thought me mighty strange walking past several times a day with my phone out taking pictures of the works and pavement chambers lol

Now the Openreach checker is reporting that Ultrafast full fiber up to 1gbps is available for my address and all others on my road. It even takes me to the provider's page. However, all the providers are giving me FTTC products only.

When checking on the btwholesale checker for my address it says planned 330mbs order can be placed when the network is ready and gives ducting information for my property *this is better than the several weeks ago when it simply said not FTTPoD was my only option

Is this disparity between Openreach and provider checkers (inc bt wholesale) normal? how long does it last. I'm fed up with the back teeth of plus net and their nightly slowdown i want FTTP with anyone else lol (My sync speed is 65mbs but throughput last night 7 pm-7am was 4.3mbs on best test youtube wouldnt even play at 360p without buffering constantly)

See Ya
Andy 'Mush' Smith

Answer is in your question Andy.

CPs will allow orders to be placed when OR declares the network ready for service.

This is quite normal. A CP doesn't want an open customer order unless they can place an order with OR.

So keep an eye on the OR or BT wholesale checker.

Sounds good though!

Perfectly normal. It can take a few days (sometimes a couple weeks) for everything to update and orders can be placed.

As you have FTTC above 30Mb/s they won't install FTTP till at least 1st March due to the lockdown.
As they brought that rule out at the beginning of January there's a bit of a wait in some areas and it could be April before you get an install date.
