Middlewich Exchange

Hi, i've noticed Openreach working in our street and talked to the engineers. Apparently we might have to wait until the whole town is ready before we can place orders for FTTP. Does anyone know if this is true or best way to check the status of Middlewich exchange? I have tried the BT Openreach website but fttc is only option for me at the mo... I'm desperate to get things moving.
