Tracking works after One.Network no longer shows info?

[link to this post]

Hi all,

Is there anyway to track the works after One.Network removed info?

I have been in contact with Openreach multiple times over their rollout in my area, each time being told 'Ready in 3 months, if not please contact us'.

This has gone on quite a bit until the most recent contact when they now say it has been pushed back until March 2022, but roads either side of us are seeing CBT installs.

One.Network has a couple of notices up but all it now shows is Openreach, or a contractor, will be carrying out work.

As an aside, my town has their FTTP install slowly moving south from the northern edge, bar some random patch of live FTTP in the middle, any ideas why they would have done that? - Deal, Kent.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

No - not unless you "work for a local highway authority in England, or a utility company or a contractor employed by those organisations", and your organisation pays for a Street Manager account.

Thats a shame, did they ever give a conclusive reason as to why?

I understand its out of their hands, but more why the DFT thought it was necessary?

Thanks,

They cite "data protection rules". It's purely a fortunate coincidence that it forces the local authorities who were using the service without paying to become subscribers.

Check your local council website, many of them have a roadworks section which may give you further info.

Durham County Council for instance have an interactive map and a weekly listing which gives the level of detail one.network used to give, other councils may just link to one.network (Gateshead Council for instance) so won’t be much use.

Thanks very much for this suggestion. I've now found one for Devon which still provides the details! smile
