Openreach Fibre First Notification Form Updates

[link to this post]

On the Openreach website you can fill in a form, I quote "Provide your details below, and we'll keep you up to date with how we're getting on and what this could mean for you and your property."

Just wondered has anyone ever actually been updated at all by Openreach on FTTP rollout ?

If so, email, letter, phone ?

Thanks!

Yes, I got an email.
It was about 4 weeks after it was already orderable for my address. Not exactly Ultrafast... tongue

"Here's where your Ultrafast journey really takes off!
Drum roll please... You've stuck with us for a long time, and we couldn’t be happier to announce that we’ve completed the Ultrafast network in your street. You should now get in touch with your chosen service provider who will take over the management of getting your property connected, the in-home equipment installed, and your new service configured.

Check out openreach.co.uk/UltrafastFTTP to see the latest Ultrafast offers from our great panel of Internet providers in your area.

If you gave us permission, we’ve told our service providers that you can now get an Ultrafast service, so you may hear from them shortly."

I got an email when FTTP was available but nothing before then.

I only knew FTTP was on it's way when Openreach's subcontractors, NPS, spent a couple of days putting in ducting and installing CBT's in the duct boxes on the estate.

I guess that means it's better to keep checking the BTW checker then? LOL!

Yeah, they don't seem to make it very obvious unlike back in the days of FTTC going live!
