I believe Pulse8 are on TalkTalk Business so must be good if they have no complaints from pulse8 customers

I've been with Pulse8 on the 80/20 product since December having moved from Plusnet. I'm very pleased with it: connection reliable and pings for online gaming are very low. I was just commenting to my partner last night that it was one of those changes that had been a complete and utter success, which you don't always get to say.

I look after around a dozen lines with TTB, a mix of ADSL, VDSL and FTTP (yet to go live), they come and go with our sites.
Once the service is installed and working I am happy with the reliability, performance, account management, technical support, etc.
But, we do have issues getting new services installed, probably one order in three does not go to plan, there are issues with the communication between TTB, Openreach and ourselves.

I love to switch to Pulse8 Ultimate Biz Fibre 80/20 but can't afford their pricing! Way too high £42 a month with no contract

I was a bit nervous moving from a quality supplier like UNO to TTBB when I switched to 80/20 fibre, but I could not ignore the savings. Joining was easy by email, but their response to a query on the installation time slot, using their chat line, caused me a moment of anxiety and so I cancelled the installation. Received an immediate phone reply asking my reason so they checked the chat and agreed it was not good and said the agent will undergo more training. They gave me a direct line number should I have issues in the future. Nervously, I took the plunge but the changeover went smoothly and received well in excess of predicted minimum speeds. Nine months on and the connection has been rock solid part from a two minute downtime when I think the router updated the firmware. One issue I did have was responded to immediately, but turned out to me having a duff ethernet cable. I have been very happy with the switch.

Thank you.
Not interested in Pulse8.
Do they only take monthly payment by DD ?.
|
|
|
|
I pay by DD , but my portal suggests other payment options, eg. Tel, credit/debit card etc.. Best you check before committing. One tip. if you join them, make sure you go immediately into your portal and check the option to receive paperless billing, otherwise they may charge for the first bill, even though you thought you had not asked for it. I now pay less for 80/20 fibre with free anytime calls, than I did with a 14mbps ADSL service with UNO. Another tip. Make a query for the service you are considering on line and you will get a return call from TTBB where you will be able discuss all your questions, one to one.
