I've just seen my address flip to "we're building in your area" on the Openreach FTTP checker. The house is a late 80s build with a ducted lead in and then capping 25 and cover 101A on the wall. The cable then goes through the wall into the back of the master socket.
I would like to make the fibre install job as easy as possible for the installer, and also take more time than they are allocated to ensure the job can be done neatly. It's my intention to sink a 35mm double box into the wall inside as per the new sites guide, and because this can then accommodate the new small enclosure for the Huawei and Nokia ONTs.
Is there provision within the CSP for the fibre cable to pass through the rear, or does it have to exit down the wall and then through the bend protector thing?
Lastly, are the ONT enclosures commonly available for retro builds, or would I have to ask nicely and it would be luck of the draw whether the engineer is carrying one?
