The 2 orange dots are where OFNL have coverage. If it's near here it might be their fibre.

The other black dots are where OpenReach FTTP is live.

Virgin have almost blanket coverage of the area

Just because it's fibre doesn't mean it's for residential FTTP though.
It could be for a leased line.
It could be backhaul fibre for a Wireless ISP.
Sometimes it's the fibre that feeds the local FTTC cabinet.

It might belong to the county council: https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2019/10/north-...

Personally i think it more likely to belong to FibreNation (now CityFibre).
https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2020/01/fibren...

At present FibreNation has already nearly completed their roll-out to over 50,000 premises in the city of York and they recently started work to cover 61,000 premises in Dewsbury (here), with Knaresborough and Ripon set to follow in the “coming months“.

As the box has been identified as an Aerial Fibre Node which has provision for 24 connectorised drop cables it would suggest that it is to serve the nearby properties rather than your other options.smile

The OP could try their postcode on the City Fibre website.

Makes sense.

https://www.cityfibre.com/news/cityfibre-speeds-digi...

FibreNation / CityFibre were/are known to use HellermannTyton products in their network (along with several other AltNets)

From the photo it looks as if you have the same broadband as I do - carrier pigeon wink The capacity is good, but the latency is rather high.

It's good to see implementations of RFC1149 in the wild. If you want better quality-of-service, ask your provider to implement RFC2549.

I'm fascinated to know how it was identified as taking 24 connectorised drop cables?
It's closed in the photo!!!

The company that makes those enclosures sells dozens of enclosures that look similar.

Would you be persuaded that a pole mounted enclosure in a residential area that could be an Aerial Fibre Node is probably to supply an unspecified number of drop cables to premises even without formal identification.smile
