openreach rural/city divide

[link to this post]

In the east midlands Openreach FTTP is primarily a rural area service.

Only parts of Nottingham are planned, Small parts of Derby, and nothing in Leicester at all not even planned, yet much of the countryside is planned.

Is there any schemes to fix that divide?

OR seem to be going after heavily the rural communities in the shires, but that seems to be driven by extra money unlocks from local government / legacy BDUK funding to get premises up to 30mbps and future fitting their network.

On the big openreach map, a lot of the countryside is earmarked for 2026, but urban seem to be getting kicked up to 2023/24

Yeah the city areas in other parts of the country that have been picked are earlier, but it is alarming what it looks like in the east midlands, the government intervention seems to have served to pick the course of rollout rather than branch it out.
