GoFibre

[link to this post]

The other week I had a knock on the door from a representative of GoFibre. I think they are actually Borderlink under a new name as they transition to FTTP from fixed wireless.

They wittered on about R100 and vouchers which I could not be bothered to pull them up on as the R100 contract in the central belt was awarded to Openreach. Presumably it is actually part of the UK wide Gigabit broadband voucher scheme.

Anyway they where looking for expressions of interest and if they got enough they would build in my corner of north east Fife, which is a plus given my exchange was not on the recent Openreach list though all those surrounding where. I presume that is because they put in some G.Fast a few years ago which I can't get.

Next day I got an email from them, but when I responded can you offer a static IP address and would you force me to use your router I heard nothing back.

Anyone know more about them and the service they offer?
