Anyone know what this is?

Hello,

On the roof today (needs a clean) and noticed this box lying on it. Anyone have any idea what it’s for.

Joint between copper phone cables ? can you see were the cables go ?..
Not Fibre related.
Open it up and take another photo.

I recently got full fibre installed. Looks like both fibre and Cooper come from the overhead line and one of the cables goes into this box (Cooper)

If there is a figure 8 / 'shotgun' type cable coming from the distribution pole that then gets peeled back, this is likely joining the copper from one side of that drop cable to your old copper line.

It’s a copper joint, or an Above Ground Closure to give it the correct terminology.
