Fibre Installation - Terraced Street

[link to this post]

Having FTTP installed this week, got poles each side of the street, cars are parked each side, would they be required to move or would the engineers be able to get up the poles ok without problems? A stupid question i know, just that I am hoping for a smooth installation.

A fibre cable will need to be run across from the telegraph pole across the street to mine which is around 10 metres away.

FTTP is overhead installations here.

Is there no temporary parking suspension in play?

No, FTTP was ordered on the BT site, just got to wait for the engineer to turn up Friday, says appointment has been confirmed with installation for the service.

Oh I see. Just a single connection. Apologies read it as street wide installation/rollout. They should manage just fine.

It would be polite to talk to your neighbors / car owners to let them know what should be happening and they may be asked to move there cars for the installers van to be parked nearby so he/she can do there job.
