It's basically the same as FTTC.
Same line, same sync speed, same cabinet, same port. It's just sent as Ethernet with higher SLA's

With some EoFTTC they sell it as a 20/20 service with downstream burstable to 80Mb.

What's your current FTTC sync?

I'd say at that price it may be worth it especially if you experience slow downs at peak times.

Thanks

Wouldn't bother really, unless you really want the option of having a managed router or need to do Layer 2 stuff.

If you're attracted to the SLAs then spend the money on adding a 4G backup - BT and Sky business both offer this.

It's unclear what problem you want to solve that means you're considering FTTC Ethernet.

Could you start at the beginning?

Hi Basically a good solid connection (as possible) with good sla time any speed above 40mb for download is fine,

My current virgin line goes down a lot the area was cabled with fibre to the home about 18 months ago and it feels very leggy and awful for things like video chat or live streaming I think this is more to do with Virgins network congestion at times

when I had BT before that my Vdsl line would go down alot we are 900m distance from the cab

But basically want a good solid connection

EoFTTC uses exactly the same phone line and VDSL technology, so if it was unstable before it will be unstable now.

What sync speed were you getting before? At 900m I would guess you were getting maybe 30M down and 5M up. Whatever it was, EoFTTC won't be any better.

What you *will* get is uncongested uplink from the cabinet (which is rarely a problem), and a tighter SLA (i.e. faster response time to faults). I'd say it's unlikely to be worth paying that much - you could get a decent 80/20 or 40/10 FTTC service from a business ISP for less than half that price.
