FTTP bad news install

[link to this post]

Just had an engineer come on Wednesday. They installed the ONT but left an exposed wire on the floor and just left and only said our pole doesn’t have fibre on it or something and that they would have to get the wire (which is just up the road I have checked). Called my provider and they didn’t have any info about it and they said to call back on Thursday. Would they come and finish the install? I hope they do!

You may wish to let us know what network (Openreach, CityFibre, etc) and what ISP / Comms Provider you ordered your service from?

There is potentially compensation payable if your ISP has signed up to the Ofcom automatic broadband compensation scheme. This now includes Vodafone (list of provider on the Ofcom website is a bit out of date).

I am with a small business provider called Unicom which i think runs off TalkTalk. They use Openreach. I may call them on Monday and find out

I don’t think you will be covered in that case. Are there any SLAs under your agreement with Unicom possibly?
