WIFI speeds needing reboot

Hi,
I have FTTP with acceptable speeds. However I have noticed the wireless speed will deteriorate somewhat over time. A reboot of the router cures this and I was wondering if a periodic reboot is an accepted way to go and required?
The ethernet connection remains constant --only the wifi is affected.

They're reporting amongst the listed improvements "WiFi: Better stability" in the v7.29 firmware release which came out 2 days ago...

I would doubt that rebooting the router on an FTTP connection would cause any problem, though it should not be necessary.

No issue to do so Michael - other than a brief interruption of course.

Probably some sort of slow memory leak, or the like, in the software/firmware specific to this model etc. The most recent FW updates may address it.

I don’t know if there is a dead-man/ timed reboot option in these boxes like on some of the Chinese 4G/5G routers and some other ISP spec. fixed broadband routers…
