Hi all,
My area Clacton on Sea is in the process of getting FTTP installed, drove past some poles whilst out today to see a metal bracket added to some poles with a bundle of cable hanging from said poles.
I've added a picture of something the same I found on google search, but mention of what they are.
Are they a bracket for FTTP equipment or bracket to expand pole capacity or something else?
What is this???

That’s the bracket Openreach use to mount more than one CBT to a pole

Great stuff, just curious as to what it was.
Thanks for getting back to me

I did not think they climb the poles like that these days, when they had to get up to the top of the pole here a couple of years ago, they used a cherry picker, Health and safety stopped them climbing it.
I don't blame them, it has been up there for a few years, it doesn't look in too good a condition

The last time I checked there was only 1 cherry picker available for the whole of my exchange area and you needed to book it if you needed it.

Not round here, they still strap a set of ladders on the side of the pole, hook up their dungarees and go for a goosey.

Only need a hoist in specific situations, e.g. the pole hasn't been safety checked or there is a hazard such as railings or its become overgrown .

Maybe they think the pole was not safe, I thought they were going to replace them with metal ones?
They need to come soon to sort out some of these cables going across my front garden, if they hang down any further I will be able to grab hold of them with my hand I am sure they get lower every month.
