Not so long ago, if I had a problem with my FTTC connection, I could type my phone number in on ISP website, and I could get info back if there was fault/outage affecting my line, or I could search a status page for my area code etc.
If I have a problem with my electricity supply, I can go to the electricity supplier website, type my postcode in and get info about electrical outages that may be affecting my area.
With my new FTTP connection, is there anywhere I can go that is similar? As the FTTP connection does not have a phone number, I assume the search would have to be by postcode rather than phone number area code. I believe the area code (exchange) my FTTC went to is a different exchange that my FTTP connection goes to, so phone number search would make no sense for FTTP outrages I guess?
Is this info available to just ISP, and not public. unless ISP have developed something to present to their customers?
