Basingstoke FTTP too hard to do on our estate.

We've been hoping for some progress on FTTP rollout on our estate, RG22 4PR area, but it seems to have all but stopped.
Access chambers were installed last year, but then nothing. So I enquired with Openreach and after 2 replies got this response.

We have looked into this again for you as there was a project to provide FTTP in this area but your property and some of your neighbours were removed form the build due to complex build issues.
Unfortunately as your address is served by Direct In The Ground (DiG) network your property was not included in the plans to provide FTTP as part of the previous project. DiG means that your property is served by buried cable so there is no existing duct for new FTTP equipment. We are investigating ways to provide the infrastructure to this type of premise but at this time I cannot offer any timescales.

It is true we are DiG fed. Some properties have a duct from the front door to the edge of the road, but no further. Cables are buried under the road.
So it seems we've been put on the too hard to do pile for the time being. Meanwhile everyone outside our development are lighting up with full fibre. I guess we will have to wait until the end now when they are desperate to shutdown the exchange. Then they may find us a solution be it poles or dig up the road.
