OpenReach & Full Fibre Ltd

[link to this post]

I'm confused. Full Fibre ltd are installing for OpenReach. They have also announced that they will install in my home town. Will this installation also be part of OpenReach?
I'm with an OpenReach based ISP at the moment, will I have to chnge?

No, Full Fibre ltd and Openreach are 2 separate infrastructure companies, However Full Fibre ltd might be using Openraches PIA (Physical infrastructure access) Poles and ducts etc. to rollout their own fibre.

As said, they are completely separate networks. Never the twain shall meet (other than perhaps sharing ducts space or pole space, as part of PIA, as noted).

That said they both operate their own respective wholesale networks. So will provide service to a number of retail ISPs for customers to choose from.

You may in the fullness of time end up having both Openreach derived FTTP and Full Fibre Limited (Fibre Heroes) derived FTTP services available….

Thanks, that's what I suspected. Looks like an ISP change coming.
