Nokia G-010G-Q ONT Template

[link to this post]

I'm looking for a Nokia G-010G-Q ONT template if anyone can provide a link to one.

I have the overall dimensions (89mm height x 82mm wide) and know the screw holes are 60mm apart using a 4mm thread with a 6-8mm screw head.

Horizontal Position 11mm-Screw-60mm-Screw-11mm

Vertical Position This is the missing info, I know the screws are not positioned centrally on the vertical (e.g. 44.5mm from top and bottom), from pics I've seen they look nearer to the top than bottom.

Thanks very much, I'll try resizing the picture and see how I get on smile

I wouldn't build a place for the ONT to live that relies too much on those dimensions being perfect - Openreach could change the ONT model at any point either as part of an upgrade to XGSPON or if you have an ONT fault in the future and it gets changed. Aim for as much flexibility as you can.

Edit: This is the template from the Huawei ONT that fits into the same casing as the Nokia, and it's the same dimensions within 1mm. You should be able to scale off this

Does make you wonder where these sellers are getting their stock of new Openreach branded Nokia and Huawei ONTs from….😎

You make a good point about leaving enought flexibility which I will take on board smile the link to the template is much appreciated.

I'd say it's worth leaving space for the housing. It does provide an area for the fibre tail to be coiled up neatly, and less likely to be disturbed accidentally.

Is the housing supplied as standard these days? It seems like a good idea to me (harder to damage, less likely to be taken when property vacated) but I'm sure opinions vary...

My understanding is that the housing is for new build where the developer is putting the fibre cable within the fabric of the building and presenting it on a double backbox. I was told they aren't carried by Openreach engineers and aren't used for standard FTTP installs.

Mine came without a housing, as for hole templates, well 'Kowboy Communications' just peppered the wall with holes, one of which was used to hold the ONT. 🤬
