Recently open reach have installed fibre and installed a 12 port black box on my local lampost and the engineers confirmed its all been tested and working
Yet I am still showing as only having FTTC available, I would post photos but I dont seem to have the option, so I was wondering how long does it take after this step before I can place an order?

Where does your existing copper phone line go? Does it go to the pole that has the new equipment installed on?

Where does your existing copper phone line go? Does it go to the pole that has the new equipment installed on? Even if it does it would be good to understand from the OP how long since the engineer declared it was all tested and working as it could have only been a few hours since that happened. The guys who put the CBT's up typically never tell you about the commissioning process before it can go live, they typically imply its good to go as soon as they leave.

I got really friendly with them, they was here for a good few weeks so always made time to go out and chat, the odd brew here and there. Besides one of them was a very attractive blonde so be rude not to.
And yes they put the new fibre ports directly below my copper port on the lampost

Does anybody else served from the same pole show FTTP availability if you put their address into the Openreach checker?

Yes I did a few weeks ago
Until yesterday you hadn't posted since January
To answer your question it can vary from a few weeks to months as it depends on what the auditor of the work identified while doing the audit and the commissioning stage being successful.

I know I do apologise I didn't realise there was a two step process to replying I didn't hit continue
The engineer did mention about audit he said he had sent all test results off I bumped into him again because they have moved to next section further down the road.
And in answer to other question other addresses are also not showing fttp being available I also checked neighbouring post codes further up street and also show no fttp. You have to go a mile or two up the road before it starts showing fttp this is also indicated on the think broadband maps.

It's a "how long is a piece of string" question. If you set your expectation to be somewhere between 3 weeks and 3 months for the service to become available to order, that would be reasonable.
There are no guarantees though. Delays can occur for many reasons, and it's not unknown for projects to be abandoned, even at this late stage.

Okay thank you I thought as much. It was always a funny setup to have fttp to the left and right of your village and be a hole in the middle. I guess I stick with what I got for now if it happens it happens

Fibre pulled through the pavement ducts last November. OR appeared early April to check the installation and identify ducts etc to homes. FTTP was available to order a couple of weeks later
