Gaming connection slightly off driving me mad !.

[link to this post]

Hello anyone help here please, I have Bt FTTP 900/110 my gaming connection is slightly off in regards to movement and missed shots aim assist movement shot around corners etc.
I know this to be accurate as I play pro level at my brothers house on the same connection.
Here are some connection issues we have tried . Bt engineer/ Openreach engineer no faults, openreach changes Ont on wall - no difference, We have Tried VPNs, ddns, powerful gaming routers, direct dial up connection to pc. No difference, PC and all connected devices all very high spec still no change Warzone still slightly off compared to brothers connection and slightly off in call of duty means game over.
Pingplotter and any CMD results show no packet loss. Any help appreciated we have tried everything but still cannot fix the issue tried PC at brothers house works like a dream no issue, same isp same package still no difference game still has issues . !. Anyone know a fix on this !.

Can’t ‘fix’ if you don’t know what’s broken or even if it’s broken. It could be something else.

For starters have you undertaken a BQM of the connection?

I was told by someone high up at openreach it’s probably a mixture of older circuit providers and routing, and luck of the draw regarding a solid god tier gaming connection.

If you claim it’s fine, then replacing the ONT won’t have achieved anything. Have you a live BQM that you can share that shows the connection during game play?

Have you run any tests for bufferbloat?

I know it was openreach’s idea to change the Ont, What is a good test for bufferbloat I’ll throw the chart up tomorrow.

Out of interest what do you get when you test using this site

If you're at a different house on a different PON, then you might be sharing that PON with some person who is constantly downloading or uploading 24/7.

But if that's the case, you'll see the difference in your BQM, in terms of jitter and/or packet loss.

There’s a good background read and links to various testers from here. The waveform bufferbloat test as linked there is quite good, and you can link your test results for example.

Several speed testers, including for example Oolka (though you may need to use their browser-based test on a desktop rather than native app) now give “loaded” latency test results in both directions.

Alternatively you can do it yourself - kick off a decent chunky download or for worst case a full blown speed test on a machine, then simultaneously ping your game server on another machine and observe the latency before, during and after the download/speed test. Note the difference in unloaded vs loaded latencies.

UK server (from the drop down menu) is broken for me on that test. Though I can get results from both NA servers, Germany and Lithuania oddly. Singapore fwiw is stuffed too.

EDIT: I'm not sure its packet loss that is the OP's issue, he's claiming a clean BQM (anyway lets see what its like whilst he's actively gaming when he posts it up).

To my mind it reads more like a possible loaded latency / bufferbloat issue...
