Connection Slowed but back to normal

We have FTTC 40/10 with UW (Talk Talk) and usually get 35mbps down and 6 mbps up.

Couple of weeks ago it started to get slower 25/4 and a few days later it dropped to 10/2. This all coincided with Brsk fitting fibre boxes to the poles and about 4 cherry picker vans and 10 operatives doing their thing.

Called UW support and they confirmed there was an issue and advised that OR would sort it within 2 days.

3 days passed and the speed dropped to 7/1. Called UW again and was advised that OR had started but needed to do something else.

Internet went down at about 14:30, while I was watching Disney+ OR chap turned up at the house half an hour later and checked in the test socket. He also called his boss about Brsk as he'd never heard about them.

He disappeared and at about 16:00 he called to say it was now fixed. He also stated that we could now get closer to 74 mbps as it look like it was never right. He didn't elaborate.

Took slightly longer than planned but getting 36 down and 8 up so happy again.

Was Eclipse Home Option 1, VM 2Mb & O2 Standard
Utility Warehouse (up to 16mbps) via Talk Talk, upgraded to fibre 40/10
