Hi everyone, looking at a property but the broadband availability checker shows no fibre at all!? NN172RH. 11meg adsl iirc. Virgin in area but i would rather not. Anyone aware of fttp or fttc plans?

Openreach are currently building their FTTP network across the exchange area: https://www.openreach.com/fibre-broadband/where-when...

Can also see some Openreach roadworks planned around the area.
That said until you see works and it's all completed plans do change and some properties may not be covered in this phase of the rollout

Best place to keep an eye is bidb.uk, as well as Openreach where and when (which says Openreach are building FTTP in Corby, but unfortunately no news about your particular postcode)

Note: there are unlikely to be any more FTTC upgrades anywhere. You'll almost certainly go straight to FTTP.

As for Virgin versus 11 meg ADSL: it's your call, but maybe you just have to hold your nose for the next couple of years... or else check out 4G/5G coverage.
