OFCOM consultation on OR prices ( Equinox 2)

[link to this post]

Several people have commented that that were not aware of consultations that then go on to influence their use of technology, ( PSTN closure, Stop sell of Copper etc)

OFCOM have this morning issued a consultation on the Openreach pricing offer " Equinox 2" offering increased discounts ( lower prices) to ISPs that meet certain order volumes (%) of FTTP against legacy products.

Anyone can read and respond to this including evidence of their concerns.

There are only two questions but you wil have to read the document to answer them.

"Question 1: Do you agree with our assessment of the Equinox 2 Offer as set out above?

Question 2: Do you have any other comments on the matters set out in this document?
Please provide evidence in support of your views."

Worth noting that Ofcom have provisionally given it the nod.

Angering the likes of CityFibre who are suffering at the moment. Job cuts announced. Build partners going under.

It’s going to be a rough ride. Buckle up.
