Sky hub for BT Fibre?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I currently have Sky Fibre 1Gig and (due to the price increase) I am thinking of jumping over to BT on their 500Mb Full Fibre at £35/month...

Will I have to use the BT router that they send me, or is there any way I can use my Sky Hub (I have Sky Q, 3 Minis and a Sky Booster)...

The Sky router won't be compatible plus I think they will want the router back if you leave them. Long term I believe BT will cost you more than Sky with their higher in contract price increases but you may be able to negate that by using a cashback website.

Just out of interest...how would my Sky Q work if they take the router back? I was only looking to move my broadband, but keep my Sky TV (Sky Q)...how would the mini boxes connect with the main Sky Q box without a router?

BT FTTP 500 is currently only £31 pm unless you are adding some extras?

I think it maybe depends on your location...I have seen BT Fibre prices vary in price for me compared to what other people have been offered.

If I put my address in the BT system, it comes back with £34.99 for me on a 24 month contract (nothing else other than Fibre 500)...though I have seen other people offered it for £30.99 (on their site, not by negotiating on the phone), so I definitely think there is a location variation to their pricing....

Sorry, I don't have Sky Q so have no idea how it all hangs together when not using a Sky router.

Its worth saying many people don't use Sky for Broadband so it must be possible, others here may be able to advise.

The main box can be connected via WiFi or wired ethernet https://www.sky.com/help/articles/setting-up-sky-q-c...

AFAIK they have some sort of wireless meshing for the mini boxes, although it may not be optimal if using a third-party router so wired connections may be better.

The “AirTies” mesh system only works if you have the Q router for Sky Broadband. It is possible to use the Q mini boxes as repeaters with any WiFi, as I just saw on sky.com if that is important to you.

And my neighbours have an offer for £26.99 for 500Mbps whereas for my father-in-law it is £36.99
