It should be more reliable, not something you've had issues with. I'm hoping my local alt net will be available soon (construction is in sight) because both Openreach FTTC and Virgin Media coax cable are ironically problematic due to the age of the cabling here. Completely separate to speed.

So far so good, I have not had any problems since the first day when it kept disconnecting. But as i have said before, i did not really have any problems with my FTTC, apart from that one time. Sometimes it seemed a bit slow, but not that often.

Had a leaflet from Bt offering me 100Mb/s with BT TV and netflix for £39 or something like that. Even if I was not with Zzoomm, it would certainly be a no , for a start it is BT and secondly, I hgave no interest in BT TV or any TV to be honest.

Hi - found this forum while investigating a similar issue, (concerning Connexus) although circumstances are slightly different, so I'd be interested to hear if anyone can relate to this particular circumstance.

A family member, Connexus tenant, living in a maisonette in Hereford, (2 houses, stacked on top of each other, each with 2 floors ), has been told by Connexus that they CANNOT have Zzoomm installed, because of the need to drill holes in the maisonette.

How did you get Connexus to give consent, please, @zyborg47?

In reply to a post by zyborg47:
Just to make it proper I decided to get permission from my landlord, and they have given me permission
I can confirm that Connexus has no objection to Zoom installing Fibre Optic Broadband at the
property, subject to your agreement being bound by the following conditions: -

The conditions are that I fix stuff, like holes in walls if I decide to get rid of zzoomm and all that sort of thing. Just cover their backs, really.

What makes me laugh is that they sent me a PDF of the agreement via email and yet I have to print it out, sign it and send it back by post. smile

I live in a house, not a maisonette, but I would fight that because at some point everyone will have to have FTTP, no matter who it is from. Have a word with the citizens advice, if that don't help, then maybe send email to our useless MP. If the goverment want people to have faster broadband, then that is the only way.
Have Zzoomm done a survey? Maybe they can put the fibre in the same way as the copper cable.

the other thing is to write a letter to the Hereford times

Can you share with zzoomer how you contacted Connexus and what did you exactly say to them.

Thanks for input. I have found a Facebook forum for Connexus, so I'm going to try a DM there.

I emailed them, and then they sent me the form to fill in, which I did, sent one back to them and gave the other to ZZoomm, but Zzoomm still would not install, they did a survey, taking photos and sent that to connexus, then Zzoomm contacted me to say permission have been given and to make another appointment, which I did

This link is to their general enquiry page for tenants
