Does anyone know shell energy full fibre know the router settings to enable you to use your own router .

Currently using BT and their user name as password is [email protected] with a password of BT.

If anyone can provide this would be appreciated

On their website they say about using your own router.

They might be unique to the line unlike BT who use a generic account for everyone.

Most ISPs use a personal login and password, different to each customer. The ISPs own router may be configured using TR069 management. Plusnet certainly does this.

Some ISPs will make such authentication information available in their control pages, others don't expect you to swap the provided equipment and make you call customer services.

BT is probably the odd one out in using a generic logon for everyone.

Usernames and passwords if needed are normally supplied with documents you get from the ISP. my brother use Shell, but to be honest I have not really looked at the router. I doubt it will take long to make a phone call.

There is nothing on Zzooms site about using your own router, apart from a little but that is out of date saying that it is possible. I had to muck around to get mine working, well guess work really , using Dynamic IP

Away from the Openreach network, those networks that are network = ISP, like Zoom, Toob and even Virgin Media are generally just DHCP. Some other networks (e.g. F&W) may require logon, I'm not aware. Mostly its those using Openreach but actually mostly those using BTwholesale backhaul that need a PPP login. As Sky over Openreach and I think TalkTalk over Openreach don't need.
