anything I can do to decrease bufferbloat?

I'm on Zen 300/47 FTTP and using the zen supplied fritzbox 7530

using the thinkbroadband speed tester I've noticed poor latency both up and down though speeds are good.
Is this something I just have to accept and live with it or are there any ways to improve matters at my end with the supplied router? There is no Smart Queue Management in the router's interface.

Is there any way to limit any client using up all bandwidth or prioritising traffic by type?
