FTTC and Upgrade to FTTP

[link to this post]

We have had FTTC at our home for nearly a decade but using the OR rollout map it shows our Exchange as not being upgraded but is in their future plans , last year an OR contractor informed me that he had installed full fibre cable to the pole outside our house and to wait a couple of weeks and then ask my provider ( Sky ) to upgrade me to FTTP . I contacted Sky and they told me that it wasn't available at my home and the postcode checker confirms this , how is it possible for me to get FTTC if OR say that my exchange hasn't been upgraded and how can't they know that Full Fibre cable has been installed outside my home ??

Is there a 4 or 8 socket fibre distribution point on the pole? Probably a rectangular black box with sockets on its base, unless there is another design I don't know about.

With a thick black feeder cable running up to it from the ground.

Is this the BT, and or, Openreach checker, or the Sky one?
Try the Openreach one, if that shows no availability select addresses around you to see if it shows they can get FTTP.

Exchanges aren't upgraded to FTTP. It's done at the individual address level.

Every Head-End exchange in the country already has some FTTP coming from it.
