FTTP on same pole as neighbour

[link to this post]

Hi

My postcode still shows as FFTP not available. I had 2 emails last year saying my property was in the build plans. However, those dates have long since passed.

However, both my neighbours (who have a different postcode) show as having FFTP available. We all share the same pole!

I tried raising this with OpenReach, but they just fobbed me off saying that they are still rolling it out. It’s clearly not a capacity issue, as my neighbour says they have the option of ordering it.

Are there any channels to follow this up outside of OR’s usual request form?

Thanks

Sometimes the user Seb (Founder) can help with these type of problems - try providing more information and hope he sees and has time to offer help.

Do a "Broadband Checker" https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/ on your neighbours property and confirm they can order FTTP (not FTTP On Demand it should say something like WBC FTTP) and you can't.

Also confirm that you have completed "Fill in the Openreach enquiry form, selecting reason I cannot get fibre but my neighbours can" form, waited a couple of weeks and this hasn't helped get the problem fixed.

Just from a literal point of view, on the pole can you see one of these or something similar:

CBT

If you are like me and can see to the top of your pole you can see one of these which is used to provide fibre links to the houses served by a single pole?

Are there any links coming from it already?

How many properties are served by this pole and how many ports are on the black CBT box on the pole.

I've seen quite a few instances where a pole on a corner between 2 streets that serves both streets only has a CBT with enough capacity for 1 of the streets.

See if anyone else on your postcode connected to the same pole can order.

I'm going through the same issue with my parents house.
All the neighbors can get FTTP except 4 houses down a gravel drive.

In fairness it usually shows up as a private road so probably why they didn't run cables.

However I'm now trying to get in touch with Openreach to get these 4 houses enabled for FTTP and willing to do all the hard work of arranging with the neighbours (one being the land owner of the drive) to make it happen if Openreach can come back and lay the ductwork.

I've filled in that form others have supplied and will see if anyone reaches out.
