hyperoptic has been saying they're "rolling out in my area" for almost 2 years now, so they're a write off. samknows doesn't really exist anymore, so i have no idea how to check anything.
i'm connected straight to the exchange, no cab, and am fed up of being on 26Mb, then it being lowered to 24, then 20, then, several years later - 15Mbit (after an outage that lasted hours) and being told i was "always" on 15 Mbit. i had three 5g home internet which has been stuck on 4g and intermittently on literal dial up speeds (literally 4KB/sec) during the day. it comes alive at night - which is meaningless.
do i have any option for not [censored] internet, or am i just stuck waiting for another 14 years in the vain hope of 21st century internet?

Have a look at the Openreach FTTP Plans and enter your post code.
Watch out for alt nets usually FTTP building where you live.

What about Starlink?

75/month, plus i'd have to have the sat inside which would have a very limited view of the sky.

5G home internet? Maybe look into that?

Just because Three doesn't have good 5G coverage doesn't mean no network has it. Worth checking the other ones.
Presumably you still have the hardware, but be aware that an external antenna can make a significant difference.

Worth checking the other ones.
Use https://bidb.uk with postcode and you can hover over the network maps for all 4 operators. Gives an idea, but still always worth testing with a smartphone outdoors to get an idea of what is really in the area.

nothing changed on my end. home home 5g and mobile 5g went to [censored] at the same time. comes to life overnight which to me indicates massive oversubscription (IMO).

had a look (thanks), no options other than EE. unlimited 5g seems quite expensive from them though.
hyperoptic has been on 'stage 2' for ages, maybe i'm just destined to wait and have [censored] internet.

But have tried different mobile networks?

Shame, but don't discount 4G. Whilst 5G gets all the press, its still quite limited deployment nationally.

Are you in an individual house or a residential building (MDU)?
If you live in an MDU then it is about getting a wayleave agreement granted from your housing estate management team.
For example, I'm a Hyperoptic Champion and in 2015 I managed to get 30+ people from the building to register their interest in 6 months. However, management at that time refused to grant wayleave to Hyperoptic saying that if they are going to agree wayleave they'll do it with another provider not Hyperoptic.
Fast forward 6 years later and wayleave was granted for Community Fibre here in Central London. Community Fibre finally showed as live as of 03/12/2022 following the agreement to the installation process.
Recently I got a physical letter by post saying Virgin Media (Nexfibre) was also agreed and I saw Fibre works from my balcony and it reflected that on bidb.uk.
The problem is that just because an ISP is looking to build doesn't mean they are to blame for not laying it out. There are external factors. In my case being the Hyperoptic Champion I knew it wasn't Hyperoptic at fault but my management EastendHomes at that time. This needed a government legislation to get gigabit broadband coming. As I said before that this gigabit capability does not prioritise Full Fibre, DOCSIS or 5G. If say a person had Virgin Media cable and gets 1Gig then this legislation does not help get wayleave for another provider for Full Fibre.
Obviously this requires new legislation. I know in my case it also shows 2. We're rolling out in your area. But this needs permission from the Freeholder or the Property Manager to allow them to proceed with this installation. I know my management are highly unlikely to grant wayleave for Hyperoptic. They are stubborn, they may have granted wayleave for Community Fibre due to government pressure but they wouldn't have done it voluntarily under the discretion of their own good will.
Now, if a second wayleave has been granted in my case for Virgin Media, there is only one hypothesis for this, Virgin Media's (VMO2) Project Mustang programme where a couple of buildings under same management have DOCSIS service. In order to gain permission to upgrade those to Full Fibre a wayleave was requested and therefore all buildings become benefited. Second possibility is that in my case SCCI Alphatrack have been the ones contracted who already have permission to install and repair our communal TV aerial system.
These are the only factors that I can speculate for what wayleave agreement you get or not. If you are in an MDU you could try speaking to your management team and raise this request in any future leaseholders meetings.

Where i am, Three turns off some of its bands, usually leaving only b20! instant 5mbits from 1.26am to around 7am.
What does bidb.uk say for your mobile coverage?
Also what mobile router are you using ?
also have you checked inside and outside in every of your house.
Also have you got an iphone or an android ? I'm asking because i'm gonna ask you to download a mobile network analyser tool .
I completely understand your frustrations, i was on 16-18mbit/1mbit upload for 10 years (1mbit upload since 2008) was on three mobile internet for about 8 months so i understand your pain.
Mobile internet can be a constant tinkering situation, ie the position needs tinkering, 0.5 degree rotation or check that the high bandwidth bands are being used etc etc.

1pmobile have cheaper plans on the EE network.
I use them and have had no problems.

Starlink - keep looking around for advert popping up, especially on Facebook - you can get the hardware for free and £50 a month for 18 (or 24) months contract.
Best way I can see to get your speed upped.

regarding Starlink wonder if the OP can borrow one first as it is not a panacea.
Upload is highly variable, especially in urban areas and/or if lots of stations competing, and can be sub-10Mbps.
If the OP is on an exchange-only line I can't tell if that says anything about how rural their location is.
When we use Starlink, it is nearly always as a last resort / backup, or for pre/post periods of festivals such as when the leased line fibre is being run in or derigged.
In difficult locations we still try to combine it with either a WISP or 4/5G service or even FTTC so as not to rely solely on it.
prlzx on Zen: FTTC (VDSL) at ~40Mbps / 10Mbps
with IP4/6 (no v6? - not true Internet)
