Sky ultrafast broadband hub

[link to this post]

Hi everybody i would be so grateful if you can assist me, I am a pensioner and several days ago I had Sky ultra-fast installed, however my problem is the talk side of it, I was told to plug my BT digital phone into the back of my white Sky hub, which I have done as the engineer did not check this, it does not work, dont seem to be getting any luck from Sky, they just say wait 7 days, yet on there help pages , it states 24 hrs, help would be very much appreciated.

Call charges with SKY are eyewatering. The voice element with FTTP is optional.

How about buying a Gigaset base station and wireless phone combo and use a port on the SKY router. Subscribe to Voipfone, who will set up the Gigaset remotely for their service and your call charges to 01/02/03 numbers are 1.2 ppm. The equivalent of line rental is £3.60 ppm.
