[Trooli] Address not listed

[link to this post]

Good Morning

I'm trying to get fibre installed to my home but not having much luck. Trooli are listed for only one property in my postcode but not ours. On calling sales they say that they need to refer it to another team to survey why we are not listed. I have not heard back from them since I enquired last year, even after making follow up calls.

I've been in touch with OpenReach as Trooli use their ducts in our area, and there are no issues. OpenReach are not looking to do work in our area though for a few years.

I've tried going the Zen route and after a month of waiting, they can't get anything out of Trooli either.

I'm now just looking for options on how to give Trooli a poke to get something moving.

Thanks

Not sure you can, I would take no news as bad news as I believe they would have come back to you if they were able to offer you a service. Others here may hopefully have better suggestions than me smile

Is there something that marks out the one address in the postcode that can get the service as being different from the others?

I would go back to the Trooli website and fill in the enquiry form >

https://www.trooli.com/register-your-interest

This gives you the chance to also add comments/information.

I have Trooli 900/900 and it just works 24/7/365 the support/call centre however has for many been a bit of a disaster as they are clearly undermanned and people have complained about getting no reply.

Trooli are aware and have been making improvements to their support responses , sales are usually very quick .

They are on the end of the next block of houses next to our "Green" I'm not sure how the cabling would be run. With the old OpenReach cabling, there was a wallbox on the end house of the terrace and the cables were run somewhere under the building. However, there are other houses at the end of terraces within the postcode and they are not listed even though they have the wallbox fitted to them.

I filled in the form over a year ago when they were in the process of sorting out our estate. I'll fill in another form and see what I get back.

My guess would be that the end terraces with boxes on showing availability are ready to be served, the end terraces with boxes on not showing availability are not yet ready to be served. The terraces linked to the end terraces ready for service would need wayleave agreements signed from every house between them and the CBT (wall box) to run the fibre across the front of them or under the eaves, and it's possible that Trooli can't make the cost/benefit aspect of this work.
