Openreach article is here, confirming that the Deddington exchange in Oxford — one of the three that are part of piloting the Exchange Exit Programme before it is ramped up across the country in the next 10-15 yeads — has now been exited/closed: https://www.openreach.com/news/openreach-hits-digita...

The first of many, I was surprised to learn this process started around 13 years ago in Deddington with the fibre announcement.

Possibly less relevant in these really small exchanges, but have Openreach detailed anywhere what their plan is for replacing the facilities of a desk to sit at and a place to take a dump that the exchanges gave their engineers?

A very wise question. A place to dry your wet clobber and tools, somewhere that isn’t in your van to eat, and toilets . Watch the company moan when staff are taking longer doing tasks, because it’s a 30 minute round trip to use a toilet.

One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain.
