Under review back to gigabit white

[link to this post]

A while back my property changed from “gigabit white” to “under review”. This coincided with Openreach starting a commercial rollout to the exchange area I’m in. Back in July last year, I got in touch with Openreach and got this response:

“The good news is that Ultrafast Full Fibre Broadband is coming to your property within the next 5 months, by the end of December 2025”.

There haven’t been any deployments in my street at all as yet, although Openreach are working in the surrounding area and have enabled quite a few properties already.

However, according to the latest BDUK data I have gone back to gigabit white. I fired off another query to Openreach and got this response back today:

“I’ve looked into it, and currently, there are no plans to upgrade your property to Ultrafast Full Fibre Broadband. However, we can keep you updated if that changes”.

The two properties directly opposite me, and fed from the same pole, are still showing as “under review”. The area I’m in is rural, but the only thing remotely unusual about my place is that it is set back from the road so there are two Openreach poles in my front garden. If this does play out as per the BDUK data I will have the only property for miles around with no fibre.

Is there any way to get a clear explanation of what is going on here, or better still challenge the situation ?

Many thanks.
