Copthorne FTTP Deployment - Location Specific Information

[link to this post]

Hi,

Wondering if there is any information outside of BIDB, Openworks and the BT FIbre Checker to understand the deployment of FTTP in this specific area.

So far I've spoken to BT's Fibre Team via email who have confirmed that they have an intention to deploy FTTP in my specific postcodes (RH10 3XD or RH10 3XQ. RH10 3XG near me has been on 'we're building now for quite a while (i.e. around 2 months) but only in so much as 'within the next year' which isn't helpful - mainly as there is no reference date to say when the status was changed to that. So far they've missed a September 2026 deadline and have now stated December 2026 but refuse to answer anything more until at least the end of January 2027.

HeyBroadband are also in the area but stop around 200 meters from properties, so around 10-15 impacted properties of getting their FTTP service as well. They use PIA so no doubt will be reliant on Openreach to correct the remedial infrastructure (ducting).

Doing tracking over the past 4 months, I've seen large expansions to the West, North and South of these postcodes but nothing impacting them directly.

Appreciate that it's a moving target and they only have so much resource so just looing to understand to support myself and my neighbours that are limited to 20mb VDSL/SOGEA)

I'd love to say there was, but there basically isn't. The deployment plans are a fluid beast.

You can keep monitoring all the sources that you are already and it may give you some indications, but that's about as far as it goes.

Directly approaching Openreach will typically result in a vague (at best) answer.

https://labs.thinkbroadband.com/local/broadband-map#... lets you select up to a year in advance, but most roadworks are not announced that far ahead, also up to 14 days in the past.
