Some cabs are going live tomorrow. I have it on good authority the others will follow withing the next 2 weeks or so. Keep checking each day.

Anyone had any luck in the last few days?

I'm pinning my hopes on CAB 82 but am still getting the standard "no plans to roll out service" answer from BT's sites.

At least one of the new cabinets is accepting orders (serving p168 in Chineham), but most are still showing as inactive in BT Wholesale's system.

I'd recommend checking the BT Wholesale site every couple of days, I'd be surprised if more are not on-line before the end of next week.

Out of interest what is you are able to check on the wholesale site that enables you to see whether cabinets are active or inactive?

The public BT Wholesale Checker will only report status on lines, most accurately by entering a phone number. It is possible to use this to determine which cabinets are active only if you have a number of a line connected to the cabinet you want to check.

The raw cabinet data is not publicly available, although versions have been leaked online. End-users tend to have most success getting more detail by enquiring with a friendly FTTC ISP (ADSL24, IDNet, AAISP, etc).

More out of frustration and impatience I rang a couple of providers today, Plusnet and IDNet both of whom said their databases showed that BT had had no plans to enable these cabinets through to the end of Q1 2012. I hope they are wrong obviously!! BT Wholesale says that my postcode is FTTC enabled but telephone number is not.

It feels like a case of so near and yet so far.

I ended up going with Plusnet's Extra Broadband package, which took another week and is currently still settling in. They have confirmed that I have an open option to upgrade to VDSL as soon as it becomes available and I'm checking the wholesale checker every week or so.

Looks like they've pretty much infilled all of Hatch Warrenbar PCP70. Grrrrrr!!

I'm in Monarch Close (Hatch Warren) and had business infinity installed on tuesday (30th August). Apparently according to the PCP to postcode spreadsheets I've seen I'm connected to PCP190 on Long Cross Lane.

I'm getting ~34mb/s down and ~8mb/s up

Loving it... especially as I got around 2mb/s on O2 LLU

Just wish I could see my SNR etc on the modem grrrrr
