thats terrible. I have my installation date booked off from work, if they do this to me I will be fuming, and hitting the roof. It's not that I can't wait for the installation, it's that I have to arrange to be off work for it.

I did too. I will be billing them for £85+VAT as compensation (after the install is done) as that's what they would charge for missing the appointment.

Don't stand much chance of getting it, but it's the principle.

My ISP are really trying to help, no fault with them.

It also doesn't sound like you're a rare case... is anyone's fibre actually being installed?!

From what I understand form speaking to hfd council its BT but wont announce it yet as paperwork isnt fully done. Either way most areas it will take a year to sort out from what he said to me and some people would have to apply for central funds etc.

Of cause it is BT, you never expected anything else. As a mate of mine would say, it is all funny handshakes.

no other company had a chance. it is all very strange how these things happen.

at least with allpay you get a speed upgread there then no waiting around for 2 weeks

yeah, when they get things sorted. Must get in touch with them again, I am not paying for 10 megabits and getting five. Not my fault that someone mucked up.

I thought dealing with a local company was the right thing, maybe I am wrong.

Anyone know what's going on for cab 25 (am at top end of quarry road, tupsley). A new cab went in and they dug up the road leading to it and made good after, but still checker shows as not yet available. I can't order until it is and from what I'm reading, it will be a month or so after that before an engineer visit to install.

Can't wait to increase my speed - sucks currently.

Separate query, which provider for fibre for gaming - On plusnet pro at the mo...
