LLU vs BT Wholsesale?

[link to this post]

My exchange only has Orange LLU. All things being equal, Orange LLU should give me a nice clear run to the Internet, while my neighbours with other ISP's clog up the BT Wholesale pipe.

However, Orange seem to have the most complaints about service

hmmmm

Do I go with a user friendly ISP but jammed with the other ISP's down the BT pipe? At least I know that the BT Wholesale pipe is reliable. But LLU as a concept should give more reliable connection. But the LLU supplier is new ....

I am not sure that LLU is such an issue(although I personally don't have LLU Service), forums will always attract people that are unhappy with the service they are recieving, LLU like BT have issues, however look at the total number of posts in the forum and think of the number of people connected to the ISP. Maybe it will put things in perspective.

I almost didn't sign up for Orange because of the horror stories, but I did and so far I have had a couple issues that have been resolved quickly and CS has been good(although it could be improved). In terms of the service I am very happy with the through-put that I am getting. I would say that the performance has been better than the service I received from my NTL cable service(that is double the connection speed).

The only thing I would say is if you go LLU route you may have issues if you try to change to another ISP as some ISPs will not accept LLU MAC Codes.
