Proper CS ??

[link to this post]

Proper service?

Got a phone call from orange cs earlier tonight. Thought to myself.. Oh here we go. "please stop using our bandwidth" or "your payment has bounced, give us our money" but no... Dear Mr M......, this is SomeOne from Orange. We are calling as we have a delay in getting your live box sent out to you. We expect this to arrive with you on 15th Dec. we apologise for the delay. Ok I said, thanks for the info..

Is this the usual Cs from Orange or just a one off.. to be honest im still kind of in shock as in all the 5 or 6 years Ive been on broadband, and about 11 years of the net in total I have NEVER had a call from any isp i have been with... total shock..

anyway, KEEP UP THE GOOD CS RELATIONS ORANGE.... Makes a change, and a nice one at that

Joe.

Joe,

I am glad to here that, I have had the same experience with customer service from orange.

Most people here would disagree but from the dealings I have had, they seem good. Issues have been resolved quickly and I am very happy with the service.

When I first looked at this forum I nearly cancelled my order because I was worried about the service I would receive, the only reason I took a chance was because I looked at the total number of posts in the forum and compared that to the number of people that are connected to ADSL via Orange, to my mind this gives a good indication of what service you can expect.

Yes, I do think that orange can improve but they are by no means the worst!

The only other comment I would make is that people need to remember that the issues they have may not be down to orange but could be BT related or just the nature of the service that they are subscribing to for example if you are on ADSL MAX you are trading some stability for a faster service (thats the theory but in practice some lines become to unstable and they end up with a slower service than if they had a fixed line ADSL service)

I set a relative up on Orange broadband a couple of weeks ago.

Within the first week Orange rang up asking if everything was ok - it was.

I haven't had many problems with Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange but I haven't been impressed by CS when I have had to use them. I've certainly never had any phone calls from them.
I suggest you buy a lottery ticket this week. Your luck must be in!!!

Never had a single call in the five years with freeserve/wanadoo/orange but had several from my new ISP once I'd left orange for good. This kind of event has never been orange's usual service but maybe they are trying to turn a dreadful tide of customer backlash and seem more human....the test is whether the actual words mean anything or are just another round of fobbing you off.
I wish you luck.

Same here too cruxx they are not so polite and helpful with tech support as they dont really know much unless its written on a script in front of them but you never know they might have got their act together to stop the tide of migrations away.

Well.. the live box arrived on Tuesday, 3 days earlier than told.. Messed about with it for a good few hours on Wednesday afternoon.. what a piece of c**p. Totally useless piece of equipment if you ask me. The only use I can find for it is to put it back in the box and stick it in the roof space along with other stuff I wont ever be using again. Back to the dg834 for me..

I have been with wanadoo/orange for about a year and i think there customer service is really helpfull and they have called me when ive had tech problems to ask if everythings ok. I personally think AOL 's customer service is worse my brothers with them and the did something to his line without informing him and when he called up to ask why his broadband wasent working they said it was his fault when in the end it clearly wasent and they admited it lol [censored] service...

No don't do that, pop it in your car boot then if you have to do a wheel change on a hill you have a nice wedge to stop the car rolling. :-) :-) !!!!!!!!
