DMZ on LiveBox

[link to this post]

Brother just got broadband from Orange and has a LiveBox. I want to set it to DMZ to save myself from having to provide support for him everytime he has an app that is blocked etc. He will have a software firewall instead.

How do I set the firewall on the LiveBox to none and then set it to DMZ?

I'm not sure you can, you may want to look into setting up a Hamachi network instead and keeping the livebox's protection.

It was easy in the end. Login to Inventel LiveBox. Switch off firewall. Set to DMZ. Done. Yes it's less secure but he has Norton Internet Security on his system so he should be OK for most things. I could have port forwarded but he'd only find some other app that gets blocked.
