Liveprinter
If you've looked at your Livebox configuration pages recently, you may have seen a reference to Liveprinter (if the firmware on your Livebox has updated). This is a new service coming soon, which allows you to plug your printer into the Livebox, and send documents to print from wherever you are.

My box just updated and I enabled the live printer - however there are no instructions at the link it provides....

Same here, no help! how would you connect printer to livebox, there is no USB port, is there? the only one i can see is the one that looks like the one on the printer.
Just noticed Bluetooth added - why?

Thats ORANGE !!!!!
Here is a new service, see if the punters can work out how to use it cause we, ORANGE, can't !!!!

Napster, there is a USB connector just below the two buttons.
I plugged a spare printer in and the Livebox found it straight away. The cable sticks out a bit, so the box can't go back up to the wall.
Orange say that the service is starting in January, but me being curious decided I would try find out before being told.
I'm trying to find out what address the printer uses. I can't find it using the Windows 'Add printer' wizard, the Livebox just isn't seen.
The Bluetooth is enabled and has a MAC address allocated to it, but so far that's it. I'm not sure which way it will work, my phone doesn't see it (and it doesn't see my phone!)
Maybe we will have to wait until January after all. Not long now.

Bluetooth on my Hub is active, my phone and PC both see it. I set a pin in the hub config pages and if I press the button to pair wireless connections I can get them to connect.
Bluetooth service discovery shows it offers bluetooth dialup and LAN access but gave up trying to get it to do anyting useful.
Also if you plug something in to the USB port it will show the device as connected in the hub config pages.

I had a think about this 'problem' and Googled Inventel, and found this link -
http://forums.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/forum_posts.asp?TID=5746&PN=1
Now I have a printer set up on the network, any one of us can print to it, and I don't have to leave the PC with the printer attached switched on anymore, the printer is now plugged into the Livebox.
It's not rocket science, but Orange will want to launch it fully tested, and I don't want to wait.
Thanks to the people on the other forum, it's not one I've seen before.

Glad you liked my solution (on the other forum)...
Also you dont need to use jetdirect, the generic adapter works fine

Argh!
Just installed XP Pro again and now it won't install the printer - the driver isn't listed in Windows and it can't find it on the disk, and when I install it normally (through USB) and then try to change the port it deletes the printer!!
It worked on Vista RC1, why not [censored] XP!!!???
