Livebox and Vista

The only way I can access wireless on Vista RC1 is to change the secuirty settings on the livebox to WEP Only, but if do this my dad cannot connect to the livebox until i put it back on to WPA or WEP Security!

Is there a setting i can change on my dads Netgear USB Wireless adaptor so he can connect?

tbh the best thing you can do is put the livebox back into its box and use it to hold doors open or something..

You need to change the security from WPA to WEP on your Dad's wireless adaptor. This might require typing the security key back in again so if you can copy and paste it to notepad before making the change.

This is a known set up issue and is the same with XP.

The WEP key is case sensitive.

Also I would turn off the security programme that came with the wireless device and allow windows to control the connection.

how did you change the setting? i got a belkin usb adapter and it wont connect to the live box wpa styleee

Just changed the livebox to WEP Only and the adaptor to WEP and put the key in.

ok will give that a try.. is it less secure though?
