Orange Voice calls

[link to this post]

before calling the orange "helpline" can anyone solve this problem :

Using the 8MB service with free voice call package - currently have the livebox setup using wired connection everything is working perfectly (lights on, orange website shows voice calls status as active etc, broadband running at 7.5MB ! ) - BUT I cant make outgoing calls using the phone connected to the livebox ????? receiving calls on it works OK. Any ideas or is the 7p a minute genius from bangalore my only hope ?????

Sorry, can't help, I have the same problem but reversed. Outgoing calls ok, but can't receive. Tried Orange support (India) no help at all. They took a lot of details and promised to email supervisor in UK. Still waiting a response a week later?????

If you do get a "fix", please post here and let us know .

i had the cant recieve calls problem.

for 2 months.... :/
in fact for my first 2 months with orange.

I like orange, it's cheap and cheerful until you get a problem.

Then theres no end of ignorant incompetant pillocks who you have to deal with to speak to someone who KNOWS something about routing, TCP/IP or general network topography.

Anyway, i digress...

To sort out livebox probs, esp recieving calls, phone CS, - Billing, not technical support, and ask them to de-register you from talk, then re-register you with a different number.

A few days later you'll get letter with an envelope asking you to return livebox. Phone CS (Billing) and ask why???? say you are registered talk customer - their comp check will prove it and cancel return
