Timetable for switch over

[link to this post]

I've just received my Livebox this morning, and awaiting my swap over from PN to Orange. I put the order in on the 11th, so I expect the switch to be within the next 2-3 days.

However, I've had nothing from Orange to confirm how I'll be notified of when the actual changeover will be. Do I simply wait for my router to disconnect or do I get some warning from Orange beforehand?

plusnet occasionally up to 4MB urban connection. And soon to be Orange (hopefully!)

I did the same moving from pipex to orane.

Just keep trying your orange user/pass in router (or modem config) instead of plusnet's and when it is accepted (5 days from pipex) you're good to go!

once new user/pass is accepted, old one didnt work for me.

Was Thinking Of Switching From Orange To PlusNet....Any Reason Your Moving To Orange? Iv Heard Good Things About PlusNet. Im Getting Really Annoyed At The Poor CS From Orange.

I switched from Zen to Orange and it took them 4 days - very impressed.

PN CS & email reliability have proven poor. With the Orange deal I get free phone calls and an unlimited account (well 35GB before the FUP comes in anyway). With PN I'm on 2GB for

Just to clarify, are you saying my PN connection will not cease until I try the Livebox and it connects? I thought there was a physical swap at the exchange? I got my Livebox Saturday and haven't had time to test it, but will tonight. You reckon it will force the change through by connecting?

I expected a cut off mainly because I anticipated moving to LLU with the change, but if it's still going to be Max, does that mean the change over is logical and not physical?

If You Use A MAC Code to Switch, Then BTw Will Just Change Which ISP Ur Alloud To Connect To. No Physical Switching....If You Use Cease And Re-Provide Or Switch Between IPStream & DataStream Product Then That Requires An Engineer To Physicaly Switch You. - Also If You Switch To LLU.
