How long for new activation with Orange?

Hi

Im moving from Virgin.net but was unable to get my MAC code before my cancellation date of 24th Jan (tom), therefore I cannot swtich/migrate and must move to Tiscali as a new activation.

How long does this take? Is this the 7-10 days I see qouted about? Also if I can get my MAC code still will it speed the process up even if I wont have a service on my line from tom?

The quickest broadband could be put on a line is 5 working days a migration takes the same length of time. This may also be delayed if orange decide to do something like wait till the DD is set up before they place the order. It took me two weeks to migrate to orange even though it can be done in 1 week.
If there is no BB on the line you can't get a MAC code but it wouldn't make much difference in this case anyway

I have been waiting for three weeks and orange say that there is an error code 500 appearing when they try to procees my details!! I suspect that they put those with a new 18 month mobile contract at the bottom of the pile.
