Is it free to call orange mobile phones?

[link to this post]

I've just signed up with orange on their Broadband unlimited package (against my better judgement). Mainly to save on calls (my Mrs loves to talk) as my post says can i call orange mobile s for free? I'm not on a orange mobile contract...

No, mobiles are charged for. The only free calls are 01 & 02 numbers and the listed foreign dial codes.

Orange mobiles are free. Other mobiles are 10p a minute.

Although i do have an orange mobile - dont know if that affects things.

Yep, and if you had read the post properly, you'd see that the OP clearly say they are NOT on an Orange contract. Hence my post.

I don't mean to be too pedantic, but if you don't read posts correctly, you will end up giving incorrect or contradictory advice. That benefits nobody.

and, not wanting to be pedantic, but i did point out that i was on an orange contract and i didnt know if that made a difference.

i believe my post had significant merit for it to be posted. it wasnt wrong, and if someone else reads the thread who *is* on an orange contract, it will help them

everyone benefits.

Your post contradicted my post, which was correct, and you pointed out you were on an Orange phone - NB NOT an Orange contract (PAYG anyone?) after stating the calls were free. That makes the first line of your post confusing, if not misleading.

Re-read your post as a direct response to the OP AND as if you didn't have a contract and you will see what I mean.
